I used Pixel Bender and then masked back the eye and beak. Then applied a blue texture and an edge from FotoFrame.

Beautiful composition, Judy. Looks like fabric painting. Love the pose and the eye contact. Nice PB effect on those legs and perch. For me it is the bg and the blue texture that makes it standout. TFS.

    Judy,

Greetings. Eye contact, texture, color... all great. A little less corner to the upper right corner (more blue bg there) would be to my taste, as well as a little less PB to the feet. I do like the overall look. Good show!

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Judy, I really like the fabric look to the BG and the painterly look to the entire image. I also like the random look of the blue in the BG and think it adds a lot of interest to the image. Nicely done.

Judy, I love the look you've gotten in the bg. It looks like the blue has been sponged on. I agree with Michael about the feet - they don't quite seem to go with the rest of the image.

I agree with most of the comments above, having said that, its a very pleasing colorful effect. The colors, details, PB effect all work

Just beautiful, Judy! :) Excellent pose and great painted feel. The BG texture and vignette effect really make it shine.

Thanks to everyone for the comments! I may not have time for a re-do this week but I agree with the comments about the legs. I should have removed some of the effect like I did on the rest of it

Wow, Judy, this is fantastic! Looks like a great shot to begin with and your treatments did a great job of giving it that painted fabric look. I wouldn't have noticed the feet if someone hadn't mentioned it. :)

Thanks Ken. Apparently I didn't notice it at the time either ;)
