    Mital:

Good looking bird, well posed, exposed sharp. Nice light.
The perch is a bit big and the cut off ends not as attractive as you might like in a perfect world.

On my monitor, a bit of jpeg effects causing some blob like artifacts in the LLC and RUC.

    The eye is really nice!

    Cheers

    Randy

very nice bird; it looks like a juv.
it seems you were so close: did you take it from a blind?
another question: how was the original composition? vertical or horizontal?

paolo this is cropped as it is way too difficult to have birds like we want to capture at that location i go regularly. this was actually horizontal image and i think its more than 50% cropped.

Hey Mital-bhai, This is a beautiful bird and the tonality looks fine from here with the calibration strip adjusted. The perch is butt-ugly as well as being too big and the dirty chin and breast were bad luck.

Sharpness and EXP and COMP are right on. Were you in a blind? Does the bird frequent the same area?

arthurbhai this bird is first timer i've seen and not so much common in my area nor it is frequent visitor for our area in-fact. I did found 8 of them in the same field and clicked all of them at different perch like wise as these are man made perch to divide field's and the bird were just hunting the worms in early morning .. gradually i did get close step by step and clicked almost 100+ images but as it was just my first hand experience with 1DMk4 i was more on testing different features of camera and thought it may possible i get next day account with them but unlucky after i found images are good and i can do more better the next day they didnt came there :)

Mital, perfect HA and sweet BG. I would also vote for just a tad brighter. Perch is unfortunate, but congrats on getting a first timer.

Thanks for the info bhai. In future situations traveling with some zip ties and attaching some nice perches to the ugly posts might work, or better yet, if it is an out of the way place frequented by other birds you might erect some nice perches there and hope for the best even next year...

Hi Mital - as you mentioned one of the more difficult species to photograph in the wild I find. Nice image with good eye contact, exposure, sharpness and background.
