Compared to recent postings by others this is rather pedestrian, however I wanted to try and illustrate a suggestion I made to Denise Ippolito about her recent posting, where the colour 'looked to me' rather mutted (but that was down to the dust etc) and I suggested toning it using Duo, Tri, or Quad tones tp perhaps give it a twist? Just a thought Denise :)

Tri tone (Black and two colours from Pantone range) perhaps a tad too yellow? This is NOT Sepia :D

Steve, Did you go to the homeland to get this?

I actually prefer the second one.

Not quite Ken, just an opportunity that arouse. If anyone wants to know how to apply this, happy to expand but it just comes down to personal choice, but worth the dabble.

Really want to do the US ones in snow. Anyone fancy it? :D:D:D

Steve, would love a short intro on how to achieve this effect. Both work well and I can see that the application would need to be used wisely to suit the subject. I find the bison to be anything but pedestrian … mainly because all the things which carry a good portrait are evident here.

Steve, I like the stare and the strong details. The first one gets my vote. Thanks for your explanation. :)

Both are nice but another vote for #1. Seems more natural for a colder clime animal.

    Hi Stephen, thanks.

Denise is going to post the workflow in OOTB at some point in the near future, however if you need it sooner let me know. ;)
