Nice eye contact. I like the flared out fur on the throat.

This is one of those images where I wonder whether a wider angle with all of the rack may have been better, but as it is it has great impact. The throat hair is beautiful.

I too like the hair onthe throat and the look on his face. I feel a bit looser composition with the full rack would have been nice.

Another vote for a fuller view if you have it. Alternatively, I might go a little tighter by cropping some from the bottom to eliminate the partial legs and particularly the space between them. Agree that the neck hair is beautiful.

Thanks for the comments. I do have some different images with a wider view (different elk),but may try a tighter crop with this one.

Dan, I like the tight comp. You have plenty of detail and a great pose.

Hi Dan, like the pose with the head stretch forward to bellow and I too prefer the tighter crop. Even to the point of perhaps loosing some off the bottom, just cropping at the top of the 'V' shaped grass between the legs, if that makes sense? Is there any detail in dark area in the mouth?

Thanks Steve. I think I do have a little more detail in the mouth.
