    Default GBH and Cormorant Fight

We were photographing this GBH on a rock when it suddenly flew over and had a loud argument with this cormorant. Just had time to get my set up moved to get a few fast frames. The light was obviously tough, but I like the behavior depicted here.

1D4 with 500 F4. Fairly large crop with a blade of grass near the GBH beak removed with quick mask. ISO 400 F4 and 1/1600.

Great interaction and comp. Wish the setting was a little less busy.

It's not everyday we get to see a heron and a cormorant going at it:)

You are correct about the harsh light and yes the setting is quite busy. The image not artistically "clean" but it is about the behaviour and in that regard you have succeeded. Image needs some CW rotation...
