Denise's post that looked like a pinwheel inspired me to try the polar coordinates filter...this was a shot of a Tern with the shoreline and a house in the background.

Joel, Very creative. Looks like you used some plastic wrap also. The one ray on the right side seems to stand out a bit. I like how you placed the Tern in the circle coming at us. Nice work.:)
Joel, nicely done! I'm with Denise on the one ray - maybe sharpening it to get some more definition would do the trick. I really like the composition.

Nice composition, Joel. I like the circular effect and the colors. Nicely done.
Joel, it does look like a big eye! The stretched perspective really adds to that look. Nice work!

I love the look and wish only for a bit more room around the edges. BTW, the bird is a gull not a tern :)

Thanks for looking and commenting, after running the polar coordinates I did a slight spherize filter and the plastic wrap as Denise pointed out. The gull (thanks Artie) just ended up where it is. I left the shiny spot in middle hoping it might look like water when looking down through the eye of a hurricane. Before running the initial polar coordinates I did not crop any at all so I have no more canvas.
