Well I have finally built up the courage to start posting (it has been years), and getting feedback to improve my photography. So here goes!:D

This image was taken in Glacier Park Montana last month. The trees were gorgeous, but after seeing the stuff Denise and Artie were doing, I immediately got the trial version of Topaz Simplify. Thank you Denise! This program was fun and easy to use. I played with all of the settings, and several different images. It would be easy to overuse, but I really liked this photo. Let me know what you think, and I will start putting some more stuff up for viewing!

Patrick, Big Welcome to BPN and OOTB! Beautiful first post. I like the subtle effect of the Simplify. Excellent composition and I think you picked a great filter to go with this image. Glacier is one of my favorite places!

Patrick, this looks great! Lovely fall colors with a nice painted feel. You did a good job of not going overboard with Simplify.

Patrick, welcome to OOTB and a beautiful first image:) I love the colors and the slight Topaz effect. It has a very three-dimensional feel to it. Nicely done - I hope you post lots more.

Outstanding! You really captured the brilliance of the fall light and colors. Your use of Topaz Simplify took out the distracting details and left the gorgeous colors and shapes.

Love, love, love the look and the colors but for me you need some space below :) The skinny trees BKGR left are superbly interesting.

I know.....I wanted more on the bottom too. There was a dead tree the 1/2 step behind me I wanted to be. So I tilted the camera down a little to get the base supported better in the photo. But then I lost most of those cool trees in the background that were what really interested me in the first place. Next time I will take a chain saw!!!;)

Next time try a stitched pano. I know that it is hard with a wide angle and changing perspectives but it might have been worth a try....

Now I know why you are the Master, and I am still the Padawaan Learner! :o

In fact, that is one of the great things about the 24 TS-E. It will make great stitched pano's using the shift movement. Live and learn!
