I was trying to come up with a photo to post for this theme when I thought of this old image that I had taken. I had enough room in the original for a more traditional horizontal crop with plenty of room in front of the ant, but for some reason this composition appealed to me. Do you think this works, or I am just nuts? :D

Texturized using three of my textures, and then partially masked back in the ant and wire.

Christopher, I love the title and the comp. Very well thought out! I also think that the colors and texture add some interest to the BG. I like this one a lot.:)

Hey, Christopher, he looks like he's at the end of a long road! I like the textures and the composition. Nice work:)

I like compositions like this... I think it adds a little bit of tension to the image and this one works fine for me.

Chris as someone who discovered photographing insects this summer and how much fun it can be...this image is very nice capture, just enough detail, ant is in focus front to back, nicely textured BG ... TFS

Like this a lot Christopher. As always, your texture really adds to the interest. I like the composition and the fact that it is headed out of the frame as well as the top-lighting. As a show-biz person I do need to make one comment - the ant is moving stage left, which would be what we call "camera right". Stage directions are specified from the point of view of an actor looking at the audience. Does get confusing!

Thanks very much for the comments, everyone. Much appreciated!

Kerry, thanks for pointing the slight error in the title. I realized that myself after I had posted the image. :o
