Here's another "old" Civil War portrait from the reenactment. Any comments and suggestions would be most appreciated!

I aged this one by converting the image to B&W using channel mixer, and then applying two of my own textures and two textures from Shadowhouse Creations, "Trashed" and "ScratchBox 1." I also cloned out a gun barrel and some tent edges to get a clean BG.

Christopher, I like this one a lot! I can't decide if the beard area needs to be toned down just a tiny bit or not...I like it like this but it's close to being too white for me. I really like how grungy the skin looks yet the eyes are so piercing.

Hi Christopher, Another nice example of aging a photo with a different subject. Agree that a small toning down of the beard would be helpful otherwise...well done!

Thanks very much, Jules and Dave. I took your advice and toned down the beard a bit. I also toned down the white strip on his clothes because that was bothering me a bit.

Perfect repost Christopher. I really like your arsenal of textures and your aging technique.
