Just returned from Yellowstone....mostly a landscape/night trip but found this pronghorn at the top of the ridge just before the sun was to set behind the Tetons.....chasing away a rival pronghorn. Tis' the season!
Canon 1D Mark 3 with the Sigma 300-800mm lens @ 800mm and ISO 800 at f8 for 1/320 second, tripod mounted w/ wimberly head. Small crop all around and a few stray blades of grass removed.

Nice looking specimen Roman with that nice soft light you tend to get towards the end of the evening.

Might suggest looking at perhaps some selective sharpening on the head as it looks a little soft compared to the rest of the body?

Lovely specimen ... lovely light showing off beautiful colours....agree with Steve.. maybe your cross-hair was centrally place rather than on head... you did well getting it as sharp as you did considering shutter speed and moving subject...

Roman - I agree with Steve and Peter, nice looking specimen but needs a little more sharpness on the head. I really like the colors of the fg and the sky. They complement the pronghorn well.

Agree with previous comments re sharpening the head. I do like this and I find the pronghorn a really interesting subject.

Roman, Nice to fill the frame with one of these guys. I like the walking pose and agree w/ previous comments. The nice soft BG color really adds to this one.:)

This is an antelope I would love to have the oppurtunity to see, the colours are magnificent. I agree with the prior sharpening suggestions.

    Hey Roman,

I love the blue BG. The body looks sharp but the head a bit soft?

Nice action and light and I like the sky in the background. Agree the head could be just a little sharper.
