    Wish for a better head turn but still think it's a cute behavior shot.

    This is a fantastic result for a 70-200 + 1,7XTC combo, tack sharp. Love the eyes, looks absolutely alive. Well done

    Sweet image, Caroline! The birds posture is fine and the larch cone puts it over the top for me. You may be able to tweak out a bit more detail in the belly feather, but it's a fine image as presented.

    This is great! I like the pose, details, perch and BG. The snowy cone adds interest. I might go for a slightly wider crop.

    Sharp and sweet and lovely. I am confused by the apparent dark horizontal line thru the center of the eye...

    I suspect the line is a line of dark trees between a pale sky and snow on the ground - the dark spot below the dark line is the hide or photographer?

    Hi Artie,The eye was selected & lightened in levels. I use PS7. Tony guessed right, the dark horizontal line is a reflection of trees, the dark spot is the hide I was using.

    Hi Redpoll fans,i'm new in this art, but i love to make pictures of birds, i was last summer in Denali NP, AK - to make some money for equipment and i hope i will show you nice shots :D
