Gull

The gull filled the frame and was centered because I was holding a piece of bread above the camera and it was very close! After "transforming" the gull with Topaz Clean and Pixel Bender ripple blocks, which created an interesting distortion, I put it on a texture background and added some texture to the gull with a pattern layer style. I also adjusted the color to make it blend with the background (I hope!).

Judy, I do like the added texture. You have a very nice "aged" painting look going on. I think the centered look works really well for this. You might also try bringing the mid-tones up a bit with a levels adjustment for a slightly brighter look, but I love it as is. Well done!
