    Default Leopard at 1300mm

This was one tough shot to execute, the leopard was quite far and well camouflaged and there was no clear view of him. Just found a small opening between two trees and made this with a 2X tecon and 1/60. could not do much with the compo.

    spec: 1/60, F 8, ISO 800

This is quite remarkable image given the circumstances, the OOF trees provide a reasonable frame.

The eyes look a little green to me is there a slight colour cast?

    Kiran,

Some times its all about testing the limits I guess. You did fantastic considering the focal length and shooting conditions.

This is truly a powerful image. You worked well under tough circumstances. The trees frame the animal well. I love the animal's pose and the way his tail is curled.

    Kiran-bhai,

Circumstances or not this is one fabulous and powerful image. You could not have designed a better frame for the image and where are all the on-line geniuses who state that you cannot make a sharp image with a super-tele and a 2X. Killer sharp on the face and an elegant, relaxed, and regal pose. I love how the right hand side of the "frame" parallels the the back of the leopard.

I agree with Arthur totally here and this is a dynamite image, forget the circumstances. In fact, if you had a clear view it would probably have been less powerful and certainly more mundane. It is like looking down a tunnel into the animal's world. Brilliant.

Kiran, this is a stunning image irrespective of the given circumstances. Would agree with the green tint in the eyes, but what an intense image of a fabulous animal!
Just curious, where did you see the leopard,... Africa, India? I'm looking at the vegetation and guessing :o

    Kiran,
Lovely image. I guess this is from Kabini? It is not easy to get these beauties due to the distance and low light. You have done well.

    Cheers,

Thank you all dearest people for your kind words of encouragement.

@ Ken: thanks Bhai. I am too not sure about the green cast, it looked quite ok on my monitor however I am posting another pic with green reduced and a little brightness, tell me what you feel.
@ Shreyas: As Sabyasachi Bhai mentioned this was made at Kabini India.

    Thanks Again

This is great, but on my monitor the eyes still have a slight green tinge.

    Hey Kiran,
I never use my 2x......so this is remarkable for the techs alone!! I do see the green in the eyes.....but outstanding nonetheless! Congrats!!!

Kiran, this is indeed terrific. I love OOF frames...and this works very well. Infact, I think this would look even better with a little more room around...probably not at this size but definitely at a larger one.

Fabulous! Subject and technique come together. Bit of green in the eyes and the paw ends but the animal is in a very green environment so some must be reflected of the animal. Not distracting at all IMO.

Neat shot Kiran. I admire your ability to work with what the conditions gave you. I can also see the slight green cast mentioned above but only in the white fur (the underside of the tail and lower jaw). The eyes look natural to me as they would seem to be reflecting a bit of the surrounding jungle.
