    This shy skulker was taken early in morning. very shy and fast bird dont sit for a sec and i got really good time to shoot in such open. two mornings i tried but unluckily i found no good perch so this is i think a good habitat shot i have at last to have in kitty.

    Gratz on getting this bouncy little bird and the bird looks good. The oof flowers at the bottom just does not work for me. If it were mine I would try a vertical crop -- it would still show off the bird and environment but eliminate the distracting oof flowers in the foreground.

    The bird looks good but I find the image to be disorienting - the combination of the bird's body position and the directional lighting make it feel like the whole thing should rotated heavily counter-clockwise.

    many will say the image is cluttered but I really like this Mital...nice pose and sharp with the surrounding flowers adding a sense of place here, like the space you gave it all round

    Beautiful little bird; nice pose and setting. I'm with those who feel the surroundings are a bit distracting, especially the oof flower, but that's what you were dealt. Like you say, keep this until a better opportunity comes along.

    It's busy but I am with Morkel; I like it. Such a nice alert pose. Taking 1/3 off the bottom from the frame-edge to the tail tip strengthens it immeasurably by eliminating the o-o-f flowers in front of the perch....
