I started working on this panorama of the most colorful fall trees I could find, I made one big mistake...I know it looks fine but I had to start all over again...can you see it?

The sky looks uneven left to right - did you try using a polarizer when making your panorama?

I think you replaced the sky, but didn't manage to remove all of the former sky from around the trees. Beautiful colors though.

I agree that the sky looks like it was replaced. I am also thinking that possibly the image was a little compressed during the stitching. The colors are beautiful. Regarding Jeff's suggestion for a polarizer, I would encourage you not to use one for a pano. As you are rotating from end to end to get all the images for your pano the light reflection through the polarizer would give you different shades in the sky and making the stitching difficult.

Nick - I wasn't suggesting the use of a polarizer (for the reasons you have given) - I only wondered if one had been used.

Looking again, I think Chris is right on the sky replacement -I am guessing the problem is that the direction of the lighting on the foreground is opposite of that of the clouds.

Paul, I can't see anything. The only thing that looks suspect to me is the LR area. But I'm not even sure about that. It's a tiny bit tight but it looks great tight!:)

    Paul,

Greetings. Depends on how you make panos... looks like there is some ghosting in the trees (vague double images in spots) to me. This can be corrected with layered output from some blenders (I'm familiar with how ptGUI does this) and manually correcting by masking.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

BINGO, Jeff, you win the cigar......I wasn't careful when trying to replace sky, Light for trees coming from the left, light for clouds coming from the right. :o..easily made mistake that can ruin an hours worth of work....wach your light and shadows

Sorry, I made a typo shouldn't have been BPN Workflow...should have been Weekly Theme

Good one, Paul. Very nice panorama btw. There is a nice flow of the fg with the tree line. Love those colors...
