I love this little White-crowned sparrow, but he broke a couple of rules getting here...

Hi Kerry, I really like the idea of trying to find the rules broken.
Two rules broken... hmm. I can see the sparrow being centered as one. Let's see what others come up with.
Kerry, I love this one too. The peeking out look is priceless. I do see a couple of things that I would change but I'll see what everyone else has to say first.
I too, see and have been guilty of both in the past....centered as Indranil has said and _ _ _r-s_ _ _ _ _ _ _ d.....:D..fill in the blanks
I like this image even though it is centered & over sharpened. The repeating pattern of the cyclone fence is neat.

Gosh, Kerry, I like it:D

Hi Kerry,
As others mentioned it is over-sharpened and a little too centered, but it kinda nice anyway.
Agree with above on rules broken, but I don't think either one is a major infraction. In fact, I actually like the over-sharpening in this case because it really brings out the details. :) Nice pose.
I'm interested in hearing why some say that this bird is centered. Take a look. How much of the bird is in the center? There is virtually none of him in the lower right quadrant and just a bit in the upper right quadrant. Not one of the rules I was looking for! :p

Ok, I'll come clean, so to speak... The two rules I was breaking here (at least!) are - natural perch and bright background. I'm sure there are others. :D
PS - looks like I did a double conversion to sRGB but you get the idea.

Kerry, I was going with un-natural perch and color cast. But I must admit for this pose and cutie I like the un-natural perch.
