My favourite Kingfisher species. Got the flight shot but head angle not good - :(!

I like this species a lot...love that blue color. Superb pose and BG...and loved the catchlight. Wondering if a little more room at top and right will make it better.

    Pieter:

Very nice, as mentioned by Kaustubh.
The colors are great, perch the right size for the bird, great view of his grip, sharp, perfect exposure.

I agree on a sliver more room at top.

    Congrats. Keep them coming.

    Cheers

You certainly got some good light on your subject and this has brought out the chest colour well with the all to common (for me) blown whites not being at all apparent.

Great BG and feet position, I agree on a tad more room at the top.

Good IQ on this image. I love the feet positioning - this guy is perching like a passerine!! Exposure, sharpness, colours all look good. I agree with a bit more room above. Well done!

Thanks a lot for all the feedback, much appreciated, I now also see the need for more room above. Stephen this was the only shot, the other, when he took off had the head turned away.

It's all been said, killer colours, lighting and bg. Love it. Big thumbs up.
