Gitzo GS5121LV Leveling Base

I have an older Gitzo G1327 Carbon Fiber Tripod, this model has a long center post. Does anyone know for sure if I can replace the long post with the Gitzo GS5121LV Leveling Base?

Bill I sent you a pm.

A little more research tells me that you will not be able to use the Gitzo leveling bases with the 1327. You can however obtain a markins TB 30 unit to replace the center column and then acquire a Acratech leveling base or Mnofrotto leveling base. The 1327 center column attachment piece is cast in the tripod spider and cannot be removed to use a Gitzo LVL base.
