    Seems this guy was obviously having a frustrating time fishing, with NO luck.

    Sadly the gull in the BG is an all to often hazard photographing in this location, as there are huge flocks feeding on the dead salmon carcasses, so there is no avoiding them.

    MKIII 500f/4 f/5.6 1/1000 ISO200 (Wimberley head & Gitzo tripod)

    Steve - I like the detail in the fur and the claw. Looks like there were a lot of flies around too.

    I feel your pain on the gulls Steve. I would crop just above your signature on this one. I do like the low angle, the bear's pose and all the fur detail.

    This is priceless. Agree on cropping a bit off the bottom.

    Great pose Steve. Removal of the gull makes a big improvement for me.

    The apparent expression of frustration is very different and is what makes this image. Much better without the gull.;)
