Wow, welcome Karen and nice to see such an opening KF shot. Wouldn't change a single thing on this one. Love the lighting and bg, super pose. Beautiful, keep them coming.

Karen, you have only started here and I already hate you ;). Beautiful shot - BG to die for, great head turn, exposure and sharpness. As Art said - I can't see anything to improve init.

    Karen:

Very nice on both a tech and composition basis. Nice to have the dorsal view, with good look back pose, with a pleasant, uncluttered background and room for him to stare into.

    Congrats.

    Look forward to more.

    Cheers

Wow tha's a peach of a shot, composition light pose perch background, the head turn - everything is spot on. If you have any more the only thing I would like to see in addition to this would be the feet but then I suspect there wouldn't be such a good dorsal view.

Terrific first post. Big welcome and looking forward to seeing more. Superb, IQ, compostion, BG, perch, exposure and colors. The back feathers look a tad oversharpened to me.

Welcome to BPN, a great first post.

The only crique I could come up with is the lighter patch in the lower right hand corner, but it was a desperate search.

A terrific first post--or 100th post! Welcome and keep them coming just like this one. Cheers.

(Further proof, as if I needed any, that I must get a 500mm f4 lens--and soon.)

    Hi Karen,

A fantastic photograph - well done. The exposure and sharpness is perfect and I like the back view wth fanned tail and head position.

I'm glad there is some variation in tone in the background. A lovely composition and pin sharp subject.

Hi Karen, welcome to BPN, and what a great image to introduce yourself. I like the pose, and it shows the detail and colours nicely. Good placement in the frame, and against a lovely smooth BG. looking forward to more.
