    Scott:

    Not a happy looking fish! I like the angle in the frame and agree about the wing shadow. If you haven't done so already, you might be able to do some subtle shadow work there to at least soften the shadows a bit more.
    I would be inclined to position the bird just a bit higher in the frame. Even if he is climbing out, I think that would work a bit better.
    I am not seeing a lot of details in the whites on the head, always a tricky spot on the ospreys. Perhaps a selection with blend mode set at multiply could bring back a bit more there.

    Agree with Randy on lifting the bird in the frame. Recently had a bit of fun with Ospreys in Australia - white patch on the head is a real challenge - select and linear burn is what I have been trying.

    Scott, Nice open mouth on the fish . I agree w/ Randy regarding the framing. I like the clear eye.
