    Default Bugling Elk Captive

Today a friend and I decided to head up to Parc Omega in Quebec about 2 hours from home.
It used to be a hunting reserve (in the 50's, 60's), which has now been converted into a drive through animal park. Your not allowed to leave your car...I would have loved a lower angle...
Most of the elk were in full rut, bugling and posturing.
This being the last long weekend of the year, and the tree colors in full bloom..there were lots of people too.
I just got lucky with this image...Hope you like it

Nice combination of the elk and fall foliage Paul. I like the combination, but I think a bigger apeture / softer background would have better highlighted the elk and still retained the colour and autumn feel (his head kind of gets lost in the detail of the background).

Paul - nice classic image of a bugling elk with fall foliage. Well done!

Beautiful coloured background and very distinctive posing. Can see what Jeff is saying about the head and the background, but still a very nice image.

Great pose and I really like the fall colors in the background.
