I used my 100-400mm lens at ISO 100, 1/4sec. at f/6.3. I composed this image using the ROT as a guideline for the comp. This is straight out of camera. I see a couple of spots on the right side that I will probably tone down.

Beautiful composition, Denise. Just enough blur makes it very pleasing. Love the trees and direction of the blurred foliage. Beautiful colors. TFS.
Thanks Indranil, I appreciate the kind comments.
Very pleasing to the eye, always like fall birch colors..How did you get a diagonal blur on the yellow but not on the trees?..well done
Paul, I locked focus on the main tree trunk and moved my camera slightly. The 1/4 sec. helped with that.
Denise, this is really nice and I love the direction and amount of the blur. I love the willowy look these birches have. You are the Queen of Blurs!

Oops! I think you are right Denise. Don't know why I said birch. :o

Hey Denise,
You have me hooked on these! I think that besides the few brighter areas......the blur worked very well with just enough details in the aspens!
Thanks Roman, I appreciate you taking the time while on your trip.:)
Denise, this is gorgeous. Just the right amount of blur. Love the colors - it looks like a fine piece of silk.;)
