    Default Fire Cloud

This image is a composite of a shot of the Anhingas, post sitting on the Indian River Lagoon on Merritt Island and a cloud image I took a year ago. I don’t know all that was done to this, as I spent most of today working on it.

To the best of my knowledge it included in CS4 the following minimum; Topaz Detail, Topaz Denoise 5, Topaz Adjust, Fractalius, Accent Edges and other normal PS image adjustments.

I worked on the birds first and changed the image to B&W with Topaz, prior to painting in the blue water, the bills and the brown highlights on the posts. I then resized the cloud image to fit the sky area, which I remove with the magic eraser, of the bird image. I then ran the cloud image through Topaz Denoise, Accent Edges and Fractalius, as well as normal adjustments.

The Fract adjustments gave me the clouds as you see them. I had to paint in the open sky area, as I had expanded the canvas to reshape the clouds to fit the sky area.

Finally, I did the big job of bucket painting all the blue water and brown areas. Not a small project, but I like the results. Hope you agree. :)

    Enjoy!

Denise, Kerry ... I forgot to hit the weekly theme button when posting this. Please modify to so indicate. I think this is qualified for consideration!

    Thanks ...

Mark, this definitely fits the theme! Really wild stuff and I love the contrasts. The birds seem to be seriously unconcerned about the water burning up. A lot of interesting work on this one, I like the frac job.

Mark, I like the leading lines that the pilings have created. I do wish the rear birds bill were more visible or defined. The colors and the "fire clouds" are very nicely done.:)

Very nice, Mark. Agree with Denise on the leading line created by the pilings. Love the effect of the fire cloud and on the water.

Thanks all for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.

Denise, the far bird is keeping and eye on the approaching storm ... therefore the H.A. is not to code ... for safeties sake! :o ;) :D

This is the original shot, not the best image, but that is why sometimes OOTB can be used to create one ... ;) :D
