Hi Folks; Took this little Costa's hummingbird into Topaz Detail, used abstract, then took in to CS5 for added blur & border.

    Comments welcome & always appreciated

    Nice image and application, Gus.

Looks like most of my hummers right out of the camera. Of course I usually am not trying to do what you did in PS! :)

Only critique I have is it would be nice to have a little more open area top and right, in the area of the URC. But understand these buggers don't stay long, though they do hover! ;)

I like the idea, Gus...maybe a little less blurry or a directional blur?? Just me though.... What a lovely original ...nicely captured

Hi Gus, I love the original! The blur is a bit heavy for my tastes, but that's just me... I think it would be cool to try a blend of both images to add a bit of the detail back in. Cool!

Hi; Concensus is too heavy a blur, I listened & did this one with a couple of passes of Topaz clean. Any better? Gus aka MP

    Nice image Gus.

Agree with others and like your rework on this.

Hate to add any comments, but if the wing were a little more defined and the bill were shown in the flower ... But this is great image and really like the original! ;)

Gus, I am a little late here to put in my 2 cents but here goes. The first pane does look a bit heavy as the others have mentioned. You might try to bring in more details to key areas for added interest and back off the amount of blur. It's an interesting idea and maybe a few more tweaks would help.
The original image is awesome! I like it very much.
Your last re post is a nice effect. I agree w/ Mark regarding the wings. I might even add a bit of detail to the flowers.:)

    Hi Folks

Appreciate all your comments and would try to incorporate all your great ideas if I did it again. This is the learning process that BPN greatly helps one to look and think that there is a better way. You can teach an old dog new tricks. :D

    In appreciation
