    Default Anhinga anhinga

This shot was taken back in July. Shot was taken at around 9:30 in the morning. I tried a lot to cut down the light shining off the feathers. Any suggestions are welcome.

    Hi Bhushan,

I like the way you captured the nice head angle, as well as the beautiful feather detail. The anhinga makes a great subject. The white highlights on the wings look a little drab--I wonder if the white balance might be off a bit. Should be easy to adjust, if you agree. The light looks a touch harsh, but the light angle was good. I like the slight S-curve in the neck. The OOF green background is a plus, though the dark OOF object (an old log?) is a bit distracting. Shouldn't be too difficult to remove, if it's something you want to do.

Mike ,thanks for looking and for your excellent advice. I agree the light was starting to get a little harsh. I will have to check the WB . You guessed it right the dark OOF object is a log. I will try to take it out and see how it looks.

If this was mine I'd clone out the bg a bit as the colors are very pretty. I like the pose captured.

Thanks James. Here is my attempt to clean up the background and I corrected the white balance a little.
    Thanks
