    Default Fish-eyed Trees

I used Artie's fish-eye lens for this image of 2 trees. I added a simplify buzz filter and poster edges-both at low opacity. I tone mapped the image before I brought it into photoshop.

This must be how a tree looks to a chipmunk from the ground! I really like the different angle and the painting-like quality to the image. What is tone mapping?

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the comments.
Nancy, When you create an HDR(high dynamic range)image with programs like Photomatix (I can't wait for the new HDR program by Nik Software) tone mapping coverts your 32bit HDR image to a 16bit or 8bit LDR (low dynamic range) image-which means it’s just a standard LDR image representing more tonal range and detail than your ordinary photo. Hope that helps.:)

Denise, this is really cool and I love the perspective. I feel like I'm on the ground looking up! Good creative use of the fish-eye.

I love this for all of the reasons stated above. Your ability to pre-visualize stuff like this and then apply just the right effects is indeed magical. And you did a great job of hiding that mother and daughter behind the tree. I do, however, wish for a bit more room on the left and a bit less on the right as there is too much white space on the right. For me :)
