This was shot in Florida in 2009. It is a crop of a horizontal image. All C&Cs are appreciated.

Jim, he sure is focussed on your presence, and I like your low angle of capture. Good overall detail, and I like the softer colours in the BG.

I like how you got the feet too. The feet are often hidden in grass.
I would increase the saturation a tad if it were mine.

Jim - Great capture. The only suggestion that I might share with you is: In PS you might try refined edge or just edge sharpening.

Excellent photograph, thanks for sharing! Great composition, I love the details on the legs, never seen this on a photograph of a Burrowing Owl. Hopefully the Burrowing Owl populations out here on the West Coast start to improve, thankfully a lot of awareness has been raised.

Nice. These guys have alot of personality! I too like the complete view of the legs and feet. My eyes keep going to those two white flowers. I do like the grasses though...nice touch. I'm thinking the image would have benefited from some fill-flash. Did you think of taking some original vertical at 400mms too?

I love the soft light, pose, and grasses. I agree that the flowers are a bit distracting, that's the first thing I noticed after the bird. If it were mine, I would tone them down or remove them, but that is just my preference. Well done!!

    Keep them coming!!

Love the low angle with the bird staring directly at you.

Thanks everyone for the comments and suggestions. I am not on my good computer to make some of the changes right now. I will do it tomorrow morning and repost. Daniel I did some vertical shots but I liked this one was the best. So I cropped this one to make into a vertical because the feet were showing and he was facing me.

Here is a repost with the flowers removed.
