I realise that the perch is a little too big but I didn't like the result of cropping it.

    All C&C welcome and appreciated.

Kaus, I agree taking some off the bottom doesnt work. What does work is the silhouette of the heron against the colourful BG.

I ll go against the grain here and say that I actually like the perch - mostly. I like the thick upright logs, but not so much the thinner scraggly bits. I also think cropping to above your name, to avoid the bit of reflection at bottom, would work. There is a dust spot to remove upper middle, and did you do some PP work in ULC? Good colours!

Daniel, thx about the dust spot. I'd missed it. Old file so I might be wrong....but dont recollect doing any cloning kinda work in the ULC. Or is it some other kind of PP you suspect? I had to compress it a bit to fit under 200kb.

My initial thought was that I liked the perch when I saw it. Love the BG and the wispy tail feathers.

You're welcome Kaustubh. I just saw a bit of faint blotching in that area (which does not appear in other areas of the BG). It could be that nothing was done on your part. In any case I would be tempted to smooth those out.

BTW, you've been doing good with silhouettes...I can tell you like to photograph them!!
