    Default Eurasian black vulture

It was necessary to be hidden to take this image. I took when vultures landed to the carrion. I was very close and they don´t like the camara´s sound (click, click). I think Canon 40D is very noisy. You can see more images of black vulture in my blog: http://hugoestevez.blogspot.com/2010...tre-negro.html

I like the colors and the background sets this vulture off well. I might try brightening that gorgeous eye just a bit and maybe take the shine off the tip of the beak.

Hugo, loved the look-back pose, exposure and sharpness. Nice BG too. I'd have composed/ cropped it differently though. The head is too close to the top corner for my tastes...and there is a little extra room at the bottom I feel. A head-and-shoulders portrait with more room( than current) at top and right would be better I feel.
