    This killdeer was taken last year - the bird was super close - just within yards of my car window as it was running around the high school parking lot in my home town. I think it might be overly bright an image but I'll be anxious to hear critiques as usual.

    Hi Donna I can confirm the brightness !!!!!!

    You normally want more room from the beak to the front edge than from the tail to the other end On the bottom would crop a little You did get the bird in a good pose and also did well with the harsh light !!!

    Did a few changes

    Hi Donna,
    I like your little fellow, good exposure. The correction that Al made is dead on; you want to place your subject on one of the quadrents in your frame. (rule of 1/3) and maybe a tad more of color hue. In all, I LOVE IT... CONGRATS...:D
