I've had a hard time lately getting creative inspiration and all the images I've worked on have hit the 'trash can'. :(
Tonight I managed to get something which I'm reasonably pleased with so any C&C will be cheerfully accepted. Thanks.
I've just looked at it on the preview and I didn't realise how orange she had become. Maybe too much? And I've some posterisation on her chest so I'll have to do some adjustments but it's late here now so will have to look at it tomorrow. In the meantime … do your worst ........ :D

    Hilary,

Greetings. Agree with Paul... a real beauty. To my eye, a few details (overall it really is beautiful)...
    - just the slightest bit lighter would correct the slightly too rich orange
    - the green in the foreground dark grass is a little too color contrasty to the yellows & oranges of the sunlit grasses, the hue of the darker grass in the middle left edge looks about right
    - I'd prefer there not be distinct tile edges in the texture in the upper sky (?) parts

    The stare... wow.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Thanks very much for the feedback. Michael, I'll try your suggestions later today and see how I go. Cheers, Hilary.

Hi Hilary, I think this is beautiful and I love the warm colors. The textures you use are very much a part of this look you have crafted. To me, these look like fine painting on canvas. Very nice!

Hi Hilary - Like it a lot - Warm colours, great stare and textures really add to it.
    Good show :)

Thanks everyone. It is a strange thing and I thought it would be easier, but the texture I'm using is from a photo I took of some very old concrete. It seemed to work well, but I thought I'd like to have a gallery of textures and now I realise that someone was watching over me because every other type of old weathered concrete is useless. How lucky was I to find one that worked first up? If I hadn't I would have given up in despair. Photography is a very funny beast. I am still trying to work out why one type of concrete is working and others not. I would like to share a work flow, but I can't until I can solve this very basic issue. :(

Hilary, I agree w/ your self critiques. I think it looks a little tight on the bottom to my eye. The pose and the warmth are beautiful. The BG is lovely also.:)
