Taken in very late light in Ruaha National Park, Tanzania, 6th September 2010.

Believe it or not we and our guide could see this Leopard and her cub about 15 meters away but our driver could not, after much screaming and shouting we managed to manouver into something resembling a decent position.

Ken - Really like the low perspective, the intense stare and open mouth. Only wish for a little more room in front. Looks like he has a thorn in his foot.

Lovely pose on this one, she has a real glow to her. Did you manage to get some of the cub as well? I could have wished for a little more light in her left eye (right eye from our pov) just to even up her wonderful face, but that would have been asking too much. ;) Those thorns are nasty looking.

    Rachel,

Here is a repost with more room, it is a she;)

    Hilary,

I think the thorn is in front of the foot she certainly did not limp as she left, and yes I have a couple with the cub, not as dramatic.

Thorn looks to be up against the paw and not in it. Agree, great low angle and light, pose and open mouth make for a winner.

Ken - Like the repost. It gives the impression of the leopard having a startled expression. Again, well done.

Ken the light and pose are exquisite...I would just rotate the image so her eartips line up on the same plane...
