Default Wyoming Antelope Rut Sept 2010

Awesome Antelope rut this year in Wyoming, over 6,000 kept images. This isn't my best one but I have watched this buck for several years. This was his first year to express dominance over his own herd. The oilfields of Wyoming provide fresh water and sanctions for these antelope so they are very easy to photograph within their confines.

    James,

My preference here would be a vertical with the head and chest and more room above the antlers. I find having the body w/o the legs a bit disconcerting. Great BG made nice and soft works well with this guy.

I second Robert's crop suggestion, which would set up his cute expression and that nice fur pattern on his neck beautifully.

Make it 3 votes for a vertical crop :)

A fourth vote for a vertical crop.

I presume this is a Pronghorn (I am not at all familiar with US Antelope but have seen them on BPN), a truly beautiful animal wthe great colours for photography.
