    Default Steller's jay with acorn

I watched a group of these jays raiding an oak tree and managed a few decent flight shots in the process.

What I like best about this image is the natural food item rather than a store-bought peanut:)

I realize this is a difficult image to get, but I still would have preferred the subject not flying away from you, and a full-down wing position would have been killer good.

    Still, I don't recall seeing a Stellar's in-flight image. I enjoyed viewing!

Ditto on the timing and the acorn. Curious if this was hh. Would have been nice to see a bit of detail under tail feathers.
