    Default Rock Pipit

On a seaside bench at Budleigh Salterton, Devon, during my recent UK visit. Quite a large crop, and ran noise reduction on the bg.

    D300, 300 f/4 AF-S + 1.4TC, hand-held.

    1/1250, f/7.1, ISO640

    Thanks for looking, and comments.

Hi Richard. Lovely capture with a good, alert posture. Maybe the alternating bars of color in the BG could be toned down so they are not so distracting.

Lovely bird and pose here. I actually find the BG somewhat interesting in this particular case. I would add more room to the top or take a little off the bottom. I see a small halo around the beak and head which could have come from when you did NR on just the BG.

    Thank you for sharing.

I like the BKGR, the body position, and the head angle to go with it. EXP perfect and it held up well to the crop. What is the perch?

Thanks for the feedback - the perch (and bg) is a wooden bench, and the bird is one one of the arms.

Sweet bird. For me I'm so-so with the BG, but I do like the complementary colours of it though. I'd probably clone/patch out the small pale nick in the benches paint in front of the feet.
