Lovely even lighting and feather detail. Such a pity the feet weren't visible. Maybe crop a bit off the left and bottom to minimize the bit of OOF foreground and the dark patch at the bottom.

Beautiful detail and exposure. Like the BG, that it is not monochromatic.. Agree with Colin for crop off the bottom. The little shells are neat.

A nice image. i really like the subtle blue sky behind the bird that you have got by getting low to the ground. Perhaps you can crop a little from below, but I wouldn't crop from the left. I think the bird needs this space to look into.

    Hi Mark
This is sweet mate. Your holidays are working out well for ya. . . . .
I would also second the crop suggestion from the bottom. Well done mate. :)

Lovely subject, excellent exposure, although it looks like it could use a tad more saturation and contrast...ever so slighly.

The OOF stuff in the from left detracts to my eyes. I might have cloned just a hair from the bottom and then cloned the rocks from right to left somehow to loose that obstruction. Would it have been possible to move a bit further right and subliminally talk to the bird (naaa...I'm not saying I ever do that) or whistle gently to get it to turn it's head?

    Thanks everyone for the feedback.

Jim I certainly could've moved to my right a bit, but I didn't notice this in the field. Will look out for it a bit more next time.
