Excellent shot. Love the colors and pose. The drops of water and texture on the puddle add a lot of great movement to the image. Thanks for sharing!

I agree, lovely shot of my favorite African eagle. I like the depth of focus from the tack sharp head through to the wings.

Certainly no argument from me my favourite raptor.

I have seen this behaviour before but never within reach. This a wonderful capture of behaviour, the water droplets make it for me.

man at -1/3 EV you still have this light. i am really amazed on how the meter gone mad with such beautiful light exposing the tone perfectly but the mind behind the camera did it perfectly. another gem from your kitty Chris

Thanks again guys! Mital, I shoot routinely on -1/3 EV on the D3s, I find the whites are better controlled that way.

Chris, great capture of a beautiful bird. The raised wings add the required tension to the image.

Wonderful capture of this behavior and what a gorgeous bird of prey! He sure is a "stud muffin." I love the details you captured here in the feathers and the water droplets. The only thing I would change is to remove the extra white speck from his eye and the highlight from just under his eye.
