For lack of a better title

While killing time visiting my mom in western N.Y. I noticed this lone mallard floating within the reflection of a brightly painted home.

    Worn out 20D, 1/200, f/7.1, ISO 100, EF100-400 @ 360mm, HH

    Mike:

Very good title and good that you could see beyond the obvious here. This one would really lend itself to some OOTB post processing. I could see an effect that would convert some of the greenery peeking up into a brush stroke look. Or, you could go for the complete pointillism look, all dots!

    Well seen.

Top shot! and I agree with Randy, this could hang as a real art work. Dry Brush looks good.

I like the title. The background is awesome. A very well thought out picture.

Well spotted and executed. Something different. I agree about bringing out the greenery more.

Love the way you saw this moment and went for it. The colors are vibrant. It's nice to see an uncommon perspective for a common bird.
