    Another one from Newcastle's Stockton Sandspit. This is of a female in non-breeding plumage.
    It was hard to get a bird seperate from the flock. This is one of the few I managed to get.

    Well, you could only do the best with what you're dealt with, I guess. If this were mine, I would try to see if I could blur the background to make the starring bird stands out more in the photo. One thing though: the white areas of the birds in the background. They likely would draw the viewer's attention even if blurred. Anyhow, I like the perspective you took this from. Looks a tad bright on my monitor though.

    Exposure and detail looks good. The pose with the foot up adds to it. Agree the OOF birds in the BG are distracting, if ethics allow, you could PS them out. Nice low angle. I wonder what others think about the specular highlights on the raised leg.

    Nice eye-level shoot. A bit bright on my screen. Agree with the background, but would opt for more blur and darkenig rather than elimination. After all those critters travel with company and I see nothing wrong with documenting this fact.
