    Gee, you must have been close. I love the look of the dark (burnt) framing fringe. Done in post production? Great detail and colour, well done:)

    Yes Paul, done in pp. There was a lot done with this one. I tried to go for more of an artisitic impression with this shot and find the colour combinations pleasing. I was about 25 feet away lying on my stomach after slowly crawling foot by foot towards the Snowy, trying to not scare him away. It was an overcast and windy day with snow on the fields blowing all around. The sun peaked out at times and I was able to get a few shots with better light. The light angle was not ideal.

    I like the effect you created. Wish for less shadows on the eyes.

    I like what you did in post. Agree with Mike about the eyes. I would move the bird to the right in the frame. Speaking of the frame, I might slim down the white border a little.

    The thumbnail really captured my eye. I'm with Doug, I would like to see more space on the left. Looks like you had something (the red area) that might have detracted from that. But otherwise, this is such a beautiful shot. I really like the soft look around the bird.
