Hey Kerry...nice takeoff pose, colors and sharpness...never seen one of these close up in breeding colors..shadows don't look to bad..nice work...
You caught this bird in striking pose, Kerry. Exposure and sharpness look spot-on. And the sun really lights up those gorgeous wings. I only wish that the light had hit the bird's head and bill more evenly, thereby preventing those shadows.
I agree about light angle and its effects on the face. Beautiful pose, though, and I like the water texture beneath the pelican as well as the details in the far wing.
