    Default Confirm ID-Northern Waterthrush?

I believe this is a Northern Waterthrush, but I have never seen one and in my Peterson guide, it doesn't show or say anything about the strong olive color I am seeing on the tail/undertail coverts of the bird. The stripes are very muted as well. I appreciate help on this one. I know this is not a stellar photograph, but the intention is for learning not critique. Thanks!

    Hi Bryan,

I'm afraid you'll have to stay on the hunt for our first Northern Waterthrush. You snagged an image of a Palm Warbler. The yellowish undertail coverts is a good mark for palms.

Yikes, I would not have guessed that. The bobbing tail and the fact that it was right on the edge of the water fooled me.
