First a little explanation of where I live. At 3000' level with the highest amount of sunshine in the US, as well as the healthiest place. We are surrounded by mountains, to the east 2 large mountains over 9000' which makes our sunrises later than normal and sunsets are early because they are blocked by other condos. Another problem is that buildings are white adobe which reflect a lot of light. Last discomfort is the heat, averaging around 100 F at the moment.
Yesterday for the second day in a row there were no birds at around 2 PM, so this time I chose 2 flower pots on my neighbour's wall. being dark I lowered to speed to 1/80's (After reading Jame's remarks today about adjusting the aperture, I will try that in the future)
All comments welcome and appreciated.
What you see is what the camera saw, as the PP in LR3 was very minimal.

Sounds like a fabulous place Gus! Beautiful pots! And they look well exposed. I took a look at the histogram and tonal values are spread across the board with a lot at the dark end. The image looks a little under-exposed to me but any more and the highlights in the UR would be blown completely. I did try a little mid-tone adjustment and it brightened things up a bit, but these sort of adjustments defeat the purpose here I think- that is of learning the S16 rule and seeing how well it works out of the camera.

Thanks for your information. I tried both 1/80th & 1/100, and thought there wasn't too much difference, but will take a closer look at it. My camera will give 1/3 stops. what diference do you think it would make with a calibrated WB? I like this system and also use manual focus. Haven't seen any blinkies with this system. My screen gets calibrated every month & matches perfectly with bottom of page calibration, and I didn't notice a lot of contrast. Do a minimum in PP in LR3, however, I think I will do my nexr Sunny 16 in JPG.
Appreciate your help
Gus
BTW: Need an answer to my Credit Card question.

That is good when posting images for critique and you want to get them perfect in camera - should be everyone's goal.
