Well she had one until a male swooped in and swiped it. She voiced her displeasure with the captured vocalization.

MKIII, EF500, 1/2500, f/7.1, ISO 800, HH from my boat.

Been in a conversion slump as of late. When I look at the tiff everything looks spot on. When I post the jpeg here it looks different . Ideas encouraged.

Good habitat image. Love the open beak and eye contact. BG is a killer! There seems to be a lot of noise on feathers, is this a large crop? do you process your images in LR or PS, it would help if you include the steps you follow on you own workflow.

Probably 80% of full frame. Exposure was fine. Work flow for this file: Import with Breeze Browser Pro > Converted in Canons DPP > CS3 > Viveza. Saved as jpeg but I don't use save for web as a rule.

    Thanks.

Mike I like this habitat image with the open beak a big bonus. I'm working on a brand new LCD monitor and computer set-up and although the monitor's been calibrated once I won't comment on possible noise etc. until I'm comfortable that I've got everything just right.

Love the pose Mike. Really well seen and photographed. What I'd do is present it as a vertical as I feel the space to the right is not of much use. What do you reckon? :)

Thanks Akos. I have this in vertical which I prefer to this crop. Presented this one as it depicted more of it's habitat with the scraggly bushes.

Mike, A very nice capture, like the open mouth action and the natural environment.
    Thanks for sharing
