    Default Red Fox - captive

Here is one of a captive Red Fox that I shot many years ago. There is a wildlife sanctuary near my home that takes in Lion, Tigers and Cougars that people actually think they can keep as pets. They also take in injured animals that cannot be released back into the wild. I spent some time there mostly creating headshots of some of the animals quite awhile ago. This Fox was sleeping/resting, but occasionally would open its eye to see what was going on around it.

IMO captive animals can be very challenging if we can learn to challenge our self to create non traditional images. Andrew your image is a perfect example. Great composition and perfect execution.

    Hi Andrew,

Like what you have done. I will have to go back and do that.

This picture rocks! I agree it needs some sharpening and like the repost. However, you chose an awesome and unusual composition which makes this a winner in my book.

Andrew - I too like the unusual comp and the repost really improves the sharpness. Very creative shot.

Personally, I like the softness of the original a lot, especially the almost liquid flow of the OOF fur over the ear. Repost looks good too, though - just not quite the same shot to me. A beautiful photograph with a fabulous composition, and foxes have such lovely colouring.

    Hi Andrew
Love the composition! Prefer the softer image for its dreamy effect!
