Open-Billed Stork, enjoying its sucessful hunt. It was interesting to watch the process of extraction. Obviosly it would have been better if the head was turned towards me.

The precise moment of morsel extraction captured here is excellent.

The water reflections add nice overall balance and visual appeal.

I agree on the HA, as that's the first thing I noticed. :)

The golden wing highlights are a bonus.

    Ken:

I like the iridescent sheen of the feathers, morsel, and effective reflection. Self critique is good on angle, the lighting would have been better as well if his head was around a bit more our way.

If have some clean canvas below, might add back in just a bit more to balance the amount of clear space top and bottom.

    Cheers

Very nice bird and good catch! HA has been mentioned. The blond and purplish feathers on back are truly appealing.

Nice job capturing this bird as it pulls the meat out of the snail. The habitat really adds to it as it shows the birds environment.

Thanks for the comments, normally this bird looks rather bland the light really helped, a moment like this is when you wish you were self driving and could position yourself better. The amount of drivers who have no idea of positioning for photography never cease to amaze me, asking them to move forward or backward just a little is never understood or sucessful.
