    Found this fine speciman last fall and was able to photograph him on a number of occasions.

    Canon 1d3, EF600mmF4IS, 2X, Beanbag on car window. ISO 800, 1/60 @ F8

    What a monster! Are sure that this is not a steer instead of a deer? Nice light and composition. I like the intent stare that is not directly at the camera. The white on the muzzle looks a little hot, but maybe that's just a monitor thing.

    I like the field that you got him in. Makes for a nice backdrop for this porker of a deer.

    You got a good angle on this big buck in very nice surroundings. An impressive result, using a 600 mm & 2X on a bean bag in a car window!

    As Tiny Elvis used to say, "Man, that thing is HUGE!" What a healthy looking buck. I'd think he was probably pretty dominant in his neck of the woods if he was able to move. The image looks a bit bright to me. 1/60s at ISO 800, must have been getting towards dark?

    The brown grass makes him even more magnificent looking. You composition here is a real classic example of him in habitat.
