    Default Towhee in Habitat

    This was taken last Spring while birding with a friend in early morning light. I don't have much experience with photographing songbirds but liked the environmental feel of this one.

    Canon 1D3, Canon 400 DO & 1.4 TC
    F5.6, 1/800sec, ISO 400
    Manual Mode, Handheld

    I very much like the plant leading the eye up to the UR ROT point where your Towhee sings wholeheartedly. I wasn't sure about the two left branches in the LLC but they anchor the image well. Sometimes wide perspectives like this work well, as I feel it does this time.

    Marina, It's nice to see you posting. This is a different look. I like it. The evergreen looks nice against the blue BG. The bird is a tiny bit small in the frame but it looks like a tree topper. :)

    Marina, this works well for me! Yes the bird is very small in the frame, but the comp is very nicely balanced and the tree quite attractive. Not many people would have thought of taking this image...well seen!:cool:

    The light is really pretty and brings out the greens nicely. I like the comp and your approach but wish the bird to be just a smidge bigger in the frame.
