I've had an awesome time working the raptors locally. Luckily this bird likes to perch in a tree that is only about 8 Ft. off the ground and I can capture images that aren't on a steep angle.

    James:

Very nice. Beautiful dorsal view, well exposed, nice separation of bill from far wing, angle in frame, all good.

The relatively low shooting angle as mentioned really helps here.

    Cheers

    Randy

Sweet pose, love the colors and the eye. Little wing blur on the tip of the wings is fantastic. Well done.

Loved the killer look with the catchlight in the eye a lot. As Randy mentioned, head not merging with the far wing is a huge plus here.
